MURPH has logged over 1200 hours as an instructor pilot in the F-15 and has accumulated over 3200 Hours Flight Time in other high performance jet aircraft. As the 116th Fighter Wing’s Chief of Training, MURPH’s job was to keep 42 combat trained Fighter Pilots ready to deploy worldwide within 72 hours. As a combat flight leader he has flown missions in Central America, Asia, Central Europe and the Middle East. In addition to MURPH’s combat training, he commands over a decade’s worth of top-level business management experience where leadership skills resulted in pushing a company’s revenues to record-breaking levels. Murphy started Afterburner Seminars in 1996 and currently the Afterburner Seminars team of 45 fighter pilots has trained over 40,000 professionals this year. The ABS team leads the industry with techniques to increase execution in rapidly changing environments. MURPH and all of the ABS Keynote Speakers are known to pump up an audience and make them feel like they are cruising through the danger zone at high speed.
Murphy’s book ‘BUSINESS IS COMBAT’ a Fighter Pilot’s Guide To Winning In Modern Business Warfare, hit the market April 1st, 2000 and is in its second printing. Murphy is a member of YEO - the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization, maintains current U.S. Airforce Reserve duty responsibilities and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
