DAN THURMON
Dan Thurmon began his entertainment career when he was eleven years old after learning to juggle from a performer at a Renaissance Festival. That one event uncovered a natural love of juggling and performing that has only increased in the past twenty five years. He is a self described “theatrical entrepreneur” and has appeared at thousands of events across the country and overseas. He has opened up for acts such as The Commodores, Dave Koz, The Neville Brothers, Bella Fleck, Frankie Avalon and Kool and the Gang. He has also appeared many times on national television, including The Late Show with David Letterman.
Dan is president of Motivation Works, Inc. He combines his lifelong skills as a juggler, acrobat, unicyclist and entertainer with his natural thirst for motivation. He teaches audiences how to manage the demands of their busy lives with increased focus and take action in the midst of change. His unique speaking style, Speaking with Visual ImpactTM, utilizes all of his skills, blends content with an emotionally charged performance and delivers “entertainment that changes the way people think and act.”
Dan is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Marketing. He has also studied business management, music, theater, acting, dance, gymnastics and aviation. He is a Certified Speaking Professional, one of only four hundred fifty seven world-wide. Additionally, Dan works with Cirque du Monde, the outreach program of Montreal’s Cirque du Soleil, teaching circus skills and life lessons to disenfranchised children. He currently lives in the Atlanta area with his wife, Sheilia, and their children, Eddie and Maggie.
