Tom Rath is co-author of the #1 New York Times and #1 BusinessWeek bestseller How Full Is Your Bucket? — a book that draws on decades of research to explore the differences between leading an enthusiastic life and a miserable one. His book is receiving acclaim worldwide, and appears regularly on the major bestseller lists.
At Gallup, Rath is the Global Practice Leader for the organization’s hottest innovation, the Clifton StrengthsFinder, which has helped more than 1 million people around the world discover their top five strengths. In this role, he leads Gallup’s strengths management and leadership programs worldwide.
Rath’s presentations distill key discoveries from Gallup’s bestselling books How Full Is Your Bucket? (Gallup Press, 2004), Now, Discover Your Strengths (Free Press, 2001), and First, Break All The Rules (Simon and Schuster, 1999). He draws extensively from Gallup interviews with more than 25 million customers, 5 million employees, and the emerging field of Positive Psychology to show audiences how every interaction can profoundly influence their relationships, health, productivity, longevity, and happiness.
Rath combines these groundbreaking discoveries with compelling stories and time-tested strategies for driving bottom line results. Rath earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
