HEALTH CARE AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION AND CONSULTING

Joe Flower is a writer, speaker and consultant who advises his clients on how to deal with our rapidly changing future. He is the founder and principal of The Change Project, an educational and consulting organization primarily concerned with health care and technology.

The author of two books, three major health care compendia, and several hundred articles, Flower is a contributing editor for The Healthcare Forum Journal, New Scientist, is the principal author of the just-released forecast, “Technological Advances and the Next 50 Years of Cardiology,” in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

He is currently working with Windom Health to build a Personal Health Information System into Time-Warner Cable’s next-generation interactive cable network in Orlando, Florida, and contributing to the building of HealthLinx on MediaLinx, the national Canadian interactive digital system.

He also works with The Healthcare Forum and the International Healthy Cities Foundation. He is a system host for the Well, a faculty member of Health Online, and a founding member of the International Health Futures Network.

His articles have been published in periodicals around the world, including Esquire, Reader’s Digest, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and the National Bar Association Journal. His clients include: Time-Warner, US Health, CBS, American Express, and Time, Inc. He has spoken at a number of venues, including Johns Hopkins University, University of California at Berkeley, International Health Futures Network, the Veterans Administration, Paine Webber and Dean Witter.

Flower holds degrees from San Francisco State University and performed postgraduate work in education at UC Berkeley.
